The Problem |
Commonwealth Superannuation
pensions are indexed using the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This is a problem, because the CPI is not keeping up with the cost of living.
The Government abandoned the CPI as the sole indexation tool more than a decade ago, and a fairer wage-based indexation was introduced for most Government funded pensions. |
